Who Fuller Was
Richard Buckminster Fuller (1895--1983) was an American architect, systems theorist, inventor, and author who spent his career attempting to solve global problems through what he called Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science -- applying whole-system thinking and generalized principles to serve all of humanity. After a personal crisis in 1927, Fuller committed to working "always and only for all humanity," treating his own life as an experiment ("Guinea Pig B") in what one individual could accomplish without wealth, credentials, or political power.
