Noel B. Murphy is a filmmaker who wrote, produced, and directed BUCKY: A Fuller Future (2020), a documentary presenting R. Buckminster Fuller as one of the great renegade thinkers of modern times and as the "Grandfather of Green" — an early progenitor of the modern environmental movement. The film is the first installment of a planned three-part trilogy; the second film, BUCKY 2: Design Science Revolution, continues the survey of Fuller's designs and artifacts. The documentary features commentary associated with figures such as Jeff Bridges and Marianne Williamson, and it foregrounds Fuller's "trimtab" metaphor. It won a Best Feature Documentary award at Bingefest 2019 (UK) and was selected or nominated at several other festivals.
