Reinhold Martin

Architect and architecture professor, Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP); founding co-editor of Grey Room.

Reinhold Martin is an architect and professor of architecture at Columbia University, where he has directed the Master of Science Program in Advanced Architectural Design. He holds a PhD from Princeton University, as well as degrees from the Architectural Association and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A founding co-editor of the journal Grey Room, Martin is the author of The Organizational Complex: Architecture, Media, and Corporate Spaces (MIT Press, 2003). His research examines media, postwar modernism, and knowledge infrastructure, exploring how architectural and organizational forms have shaped modern institutional life.
