Chris Zelov
American documentary filmmaker and publisher, director of Ecological Design: Inventing the Future and driving force behind Design Outlaws on the Ecological Frontier.
Christopher "Chris" Zelov is a filmmaker and publisher who works at the intersection of ecology, architecture, and comprehensive design. Through his Knossus Project imprint he produced the documentary Ecological Design: Inventing the Future and, with Phil Cousineau and Brian Danitz, assembled the companion volume Design Outlaws on the Ecological Frontier — a survey that gathers interviews with leading designers and architects on the future of sustainable, whole-systems design.
Relationship to Fuller
Relationship: chronicler. Zelov's work carries R. Buckminster Fuller's ideas to a later audience. Both Ecological Design: Inventing the Future and the accompanying Design Outlaws on the Ecological Frontier treat Fuller's design-science, comprehensive-anticipatory-design, and ecological worldview as a central organizing thread, presenting him as a lineage-founder for the ecological and regenerative design movements the film documents.
